Trips
This page gives mentions some of the trips that members of our
family made. Trips Li-Xia and Frans made on our own are not
mentioned here.
The flights we took are:
- October 9, 1993: Schiphol - Kopenhagen flight SK552B with SAS in a DC-9-41,
the Sote Viking.
- October 9, 1993: Kopenhagen - Hong Kong with SAS in a Boeing 747, the Gyda Viking, LN-RCD
- October 15, 1993: Canton - Urumqi, Xinjiang with Xinjiang Airlines in a Li-86.
Take-off at 15:24, about three hours delayed.
- November 6, 1993: Urumqi - Beijing in a TY-154m, the RA-85716. Take-off at 9:41.
- November 16, 1993: Beijing - Kopenhagen with SAS in a Boeing 646, the SE-DOC
- November 16, 1993: Kopenhagen - Schiphol with SAS in the Ottar Viking, SE-DFY.
Li-Xia's mother came to
stay with us for half a year
right after Annabel was born.
These are the flights she took:
- October 7?, 1994: Urumqi - Beijing with Xinjiang Airlines
- October 18, 1994: Beijing - Copenhagen with SAS
- October 18, 1994: Copenhagen - Schiphol with SAS
- April 17, 1995: Schiphol - Copenhagen with SAS
- April 17, 1995: Copenhagen - Beijing with SAS
- April 1995: Beijing - Urumqi with Xinjiang Airlines
Frans, Li-Xia, and her mother went to Paris for a long weekend.
We stayed in Hotel d'Amience room 103 which is at 11 Rue des 2 Gares,
close to Gar du Nord.
The second day we went to the National Museum for Mordern Art, and on the
third day we went to the Louvre where we saw the Mona Lisa.
Trains we took going there:
- 6:56 Amersfoort - 7:55 Rotterdam
- 8:04 Rotterdam - 12:58 Gar du Nord, Paris
Back:
- 16:36 Gar du Nord, Paris - 21:38 Rotterdam
- 21:41 (or 22:07) Rottterdam - 22:40 (or 23:10) Amersfoort
Together with Annabel
we spend some weeks in Urumqi, to stay with our
Chinese family. These are the flights we took:
- July 27, 1996:
Schiphol - Beijing with KLM seats 2J and 2K in the City of Parimaribo, a Boeing 747-400.
Take-off was at 14:17.
- July 28, 1996: Beijing - Urumqi with Xinjiang Airlines in a Li-86, B-2018.
Take-off was at 18:15, a little more than three hours delayed.
Touch-down was around 22:00.
- August 1996: Urumqi - Beijing with Xinjiang Airlines in a Li-86, B-2019 seats 39E and 39F.
Take-off at 10:16.
- August 25, 1996: Beijing - Schiphol with KLM.
Right after Andy was born,
Li-Xia's mother again came
to stay with us. This time she only stayed for three monts,
because her visa could not be extended.
- October 12, 1997: Urumqi - Beijing.
- October 19, 1997: Beijing - Amsterdam arrive at 19:13.
- January 14, 1998: Amsterdam - Beijing.
- January 16?, 1998: Beijing - Urumqi.
We had a long weekend with our whole family together, to
celebrate the 40th wedding day of my parents.
We arrived on Friday evening late and stated in cottage
number 636.
On
Saturday we went swimming
in the Aqua Mondo, and in the evening we had a big dinner.
On
Sunday we went to the
Jungle Dome, and in the evening we had some nice
dinner again.
We went with our family and Frans his mother to stay for a long
weekend again. We arrived on Friday afternoon. In the
evening we ate in our cottage number 802.
On Saturday we went swimming
in the Aqua Mondo, and in the evening we had a dinner.
On Sunday we went to the Jungle Dome, and in the evening
Li-Xia and I had a romatic night.
On Monday we went swimming for the last time.
Because we did have not have the ability to visit
our family in Urumqi,
Li-Xia's mother came stay with us for a third time.
- October 8, 2001: Urumqi - Beijing flight XO9101 with Xinjiang Airlines.
- October 12, 2001: Beijing - Schiphol flight KL989 with KLM.
Departure time 10:40. Landed on 15:07 in Schiphol.
- April 10, 2002: Schiphol - Beijing flight KL??? with KLM.
Departure time 17:15.
- April 11, 2002: Beijing - Urumqi flight XO9102 with Xinjiang Airlines.
Departure time 14:00.
On Friday afternoon
we arrived with our family, including Li-Xia's mother, at the park.
Inside the park we met my mother.
On Friday afternoon
we arrived with our family at the park. As usual, my mother already
was at the cottage. On Saturday we
celebrated the birthdays of Annabel and Andy. On Sunday we went swimming again.
Li-Xia and Frans go to Maastricht and stay in the Van der Valk hotel
for two nights and spend the days looking for the locations where the
pictures in the book Maastricht 148
are taken.
Annabel and Frans go to Zandvoort and stay for three nights in
the Centerparcs park in Zandvoort for attending the
European Youth Goe Championships
2007. We stay in cottage 459 together with some friends from
Enschede.
Li-Xia and Frans plan to go to Maastricht and stay in the Van der Valk hotel
for two nights and spend the days looking for the locations where the
pictures in the book Maastricht 148
are taken.
